Registry Security

The Registry has been developed by Monash University and is housed securely in the “red zone” of the University servers. The servers are housed under strict security with controlled and audited access. The web based system conforms to industry best practice by adopting the following measures.

• Protected data exchange using SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption
• Audit logging to ensure all data entry/edits is traceable
• Restricted user access
• Encrypted passwords
• Enforced password formats
• Maximum password attempt detection
• Timeout after activity
